The nail art trend is still going strong, to the point of becoming a true artistic discipline on social media. A passion but also a pastime for beauty enthusiasts, it keeps revealing new techniques with the seasons. The latest nail art highlight, and our favorite at Manucurist to warm our hearts during winter: latte nail art.
For several years, nail art has inspired and attracted more and more followers. And for good reason: the world of manicure has never been as focused on art as it is today! After celestial and baby boomer, let's make way for Latte nail art at the start of 2022. In the middle of winter, let's choose warm colors that remind us of our indulgent macchiatos topped with whipped cream and sprinkled with cinnamon. It appears in several forms: latte french manicure, creamy gradients, iridescent touches, or marbled effects in cappuccino shades. Cozy, comforting, and above all trendy… The Coffee Latte nail art trend is just what we needed to warm up our chilly weekends and boost our outfits from past years.

A moment of beauty, softness, green and ethical to boot!
How to explain Coffee Latte nail art?
The trend comes in several designs, all more stylish than the last. Of course, we think of the traditional Latte effect that reminds us of the delicious drinks from our favorite coffee shop. The chocolate, brown, or macchiato color blends with creamy white to create pretty caramel and marbled shades. As for the designs, they range from marbled to graphic, minimalist drawings to milky nail latte french manicure. Social media is flooded with Latte art visuals from all over the world, giving us plenty of inspiration!
Andrea’s tips, our manicure expert, for creating a Latte Art nail design
With our Latte Art kit or a few polishes from the Macchiato collection, create your own design at home on a weeknight or during a cozy weekend afternoon. Here are our five tips to achieve it:
-
Choose the Green polishes Chestnut and Snow from Manucurist.
-
Use a nail art brush or even a dotting tool! The trick is to clean your tools regularly to avoid applying too much product.
-
Start by applying a base to protect the nails from pigments. Then move on to color: apply the Chestnut shade on one half of the nail, then repeat on the other half with Snow. The more imperfect the color distribution, the better! After this step, draw zigzags from one color to the other with a nail art brush. The idea is to blend them to create a “coffee foam” effect. Wait a good five minutes for the polish to dry before applying the top coat to make the nails shine and protect them from shocks!
