ARTICLE 5 - Protection of personal data
The protection of the personal data of users of the Manucurist website is governed by the relevant Privacy Policy, available here.
By way of exception, this article sets out the specific provisions applicable to each user (hereinafter referred to as the “Member”) subscribing to the Green Addict loyalty programme.
5.1 Methods of collection
The Member’s personal data are collected directly from them when they join the Green Addict programme on the website www.manucurist.com.
The Member is solely responsible for the quality of the personal data they provide to Manucurist.
5.2 Data collected
The following personal data are collected on a mandatory basis when joining the Green Addict programme: title, surname, first name, email address, postal address. These data are necessary for Manucurist to authenticate the Member. The absence, irrelevance or failure to update such data may result in a delay in processing the Member’s request, or even its refusal.
Other personal data collected by Manucurist when joining are optional, in order to better understand the Member and send them communications tailored to their profile.
For information purposes, Manucurist processes the Member’s purchase history and use of the website (for example, by collecting browsing data via cookies, subject to consent). This processing is not in itself necessary for the creation of a Member account, but becomes necessary when managing the Member’s eligibility for the various benefits of the Green Addict programme.
5.3 Purposes and legal bases
As a Member, your personal data may be processed for the following purposes and on the following legal bases:
- Management and operation of the loyalty programme and communities: informing the Member about the loyalty programme or available services, managing the Member relationship, card benefits and card operations.
- These processing activities are necessary for the performance of the Green Addict Terms of Use.
- Electronic marketing: creation of customer profiles, marketing by email and/or SMS, collection of data via cookies.
- These processing activities are based on the Member’s consent. By way of exception, postal marketing may be based on Manucurist’s legitimate interest.
- Conducting satisfaction surveys and customer studies: surveys, product tests, sales statistics and organising prize draws.
- This processing is based on Manucurist’s legitimate interest in continuously improving its service and products.
- Exercise by the Member of their individual rights: management of requests to exercise the Member’s rights concerning the use of their personal data.
- This processing is based on a legal obligation.
- Management of pre-litigation and litigation matters.
- This processing is based on Manucurist’s legitimate interest in establishing proof of a right or contract.
5.4 Retention periods
Manucurist retains the Member’s personal data until the purposes for which it was collected have been fulfilled, i.e. for the duration of membership in the Green Addict programme, extended by the applicable statutory limitation periods, in particular to retain proof of transactions.
In certain cases, Manucurist is required by law to retain data for a longer period.
Please note that data collected for marketing purposes may only be retained until you withdraw your consent, and for up to 3 (three) years from the last commercial contact with Manucurist (e.g. when the Member clicks on an offer sent to them).
5.5 Recipients
Manucurist only transfers the Member’s personal data to recipients who strictly need them in order to process them in accordance with the purpose for which they were collected.
In this context, service providers involved in managing the Green Addict programme are concerned.
5.6 Data transfers outside the European Union
Some personal data we collect may be transferred outside the European Union, mainly to Canada and the United States, where Manucurist service providers are located.
In the event of a transfer, Manucurist ensures that it is (i) carried out to a country subject to an adequacy decision by the European Commission pursuant to Article 45 of the GDPR, or (ii) governed by appropriate safeguards pursuant to Article 46 of the GDPR, in particular the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, as well as technical and organisational measures ensuring a high level of data security and confidentiality, equivalent to that required by the GDPR.
5.7 Individual rights of the Member
The Member has individual rights regarding their personal data: right of access, right to rectification, right to erasure, right to restriction, right to object, right to data portability.
The Member may exercise their rights by submitting their request:

- by post: Manucurist Customer Service - 19, rue d’Enghien 75010 Paris, France.
Furthermore, the Member may at any time correct their own personal data entered by visiting the “My Account” page on the Manucurist website.
The request must specify the right or rights that the Member wishes to exercise. In accordance with Article 12.6 of the GDPR, where Manucurist has reasonable doubts as to the identity of the person exercising their rights, proof of identity may be requested.
Finally, the Member has the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL), if they consider that they are unable to exercise their rights or wish to report a breach of personal data protection rules.
5.8 Loyalty programme
You can view the details of our Green Addict loyalty programme on this page. We reserve the right to modify our programme provided that the customer retains the value of points previously acquired. Email communications will be sent to our Green Addict customers to inform them of all programme developments.
