For years, we have chosen to partner with leading certification bodies in environmental protection and sustainability. Earning these labels is recognition of the quality of our formulas and a guarantee that our production meets the standards we care about. For you, it is a mark of reliability, transparency, and trust.
Vegan-certified nail polishes and nail care
But what exactly is a vegan product? According to the Vegan Society, it is a product that meets the following 3 criteria:
- 0 animal-derived ingredients in the formula,
- 0 animal testing,
- 0 animal-derived ingredients in packaging materials.
Three conditions that are hugely important to us and that we scrupulously respect in the design and production of our products. That’s why our Green classic nail polishes, our Green Flash semi-permanent nail polishes, and our entire range of nail care are not only bio-sourced but also carry the Vegan Society label. Our nail art brushes do too: we use synthetic bristles, as brushes are generally made from sable hair, which allows for precise lines — something we refused.
Please note that the Green Flash Base Coat will also be certified during 2022.
Next-level organic certification for your hands
When creating our hand care range, we had one strong ambition: for every product in the range to meet the requirements of the most demanding organic certification. To develop the Manucurist Hand Cream, we therefore followed the specifications of the Cosmos Organic label. Dedicated to organic and natural cosmetics, it imposes strict standards for eco-responsibility and packaging recycling, and guarantees the absence of GMOs and petrochemical-derived ingredients. In addition, to be certified, the product must contain:
- at least 95% ingredients of natural origin,
- At least 20% organic ingredients.
Mission accomplished for our Hand Cream, which achieved Cosmos certification with flying colors!
Certifications even for our accessories
And yes, we want to be consistent across the board and make sure that all our products, right down to the accessories, are made ethically and sustainably.
That’s why our lovely makeup bags and beautiful bags are GOTS-certified (Global Organic Textile Standards), guaranteeing environmentally friendly production processes, the use of organic fibres and banning hazardous inputs such as heavy metals.
Our labels (brushes, nail polishes, creams…) are printed on FSC paper (Forest Stewardship Council), the international organisation that promotes sustainable and environmentally appropriate forest management around the world.
