For years, we have chosen to work with different certification bodies that are authorities in environmental protection and sustainable development. Obtaining these types of labels is, for us, a recognition of the quality of our formulas and a guarantee that our production system respects criteria that are dear to us. And for you, it is a sign of seriousness, transparency, and trust.
Vegan-labeled polishes and nail care
But what exactly is a vegan product? According to the Vegan Society, it is a product that meets the following 3 criteria:
- 0 animal-derived ingredients in its composition,
- 0 animal testing,
- 0 animal-derived ingredients in the packaging composition.
Three conditions that are very important to us and that we strictly respect in the design and production of our products. That’s why our classic Green polishes, our Green Flash™ semi-permanent polishes, and our entire range of nail care are not only bio-sourced but also carry the Vegan label from the Vegan Society. Our nail art brushes are vegan as well; we offer synthetic bristles because brushes are usually made from marten hair, which allows for precise strokes—a choice we refused.
Note that the Green Base Coat Green Flash™ will also carry the label in 2022.
High-level organic certification for your hands
When creating our hand care range, we had a strong ambition: that each product in the range meets the conditions of the most demanding organic certification. To develop the Manucurist Crème Mains, we based ourselves on the specifications of the Cosmos Organic label. Dedicated to organic and natural cosmetics, it imposes strict standards regarding eco-responsibility and container recycling, and guarantees the absence of GMOs and petrochemical ingredients. Moreover, to be labeled, the product must contain:
- at least 95% natural origin ingredients,
- at least 20% ingredients from organic farming.
A successful bet for our Crème Mains, which easily earned its Cosmos certification!
Certifications even for our accessories
Yes, we want to be consistent all the way and ensure that all our products, including accessories, are made ethically and ecologically.
Thus, our beautiful makeup bags and our lovely bags hold the GOTS label (Global Organic Textile Standards), which guarantees environmentally friendly production processes, the use of organic fibers, and prohibits the use of hazardous inputs like heavy metals.
Our labels (brushes, polishes, creams…) are printed on FSC paper (Forest Stewardship Council), the international organization promoting sustainable and ecologically appropriate forest management worldwide.
