The limits of regular polish
However, nail polish without a UV lamp has its limits. No matter how carefully you prep your nails before polish application and follow the Green™ System to the letter, it will not last as long as gel polish. A Green™ polish stays flawless for up to 7 days, provided your hands are not put through too much rough treatment.

- Base Coat: apply a thin layer of Green Flash™ Vitamin Base Coat, capping the free edge. Then cure the base under the LED lamp (2 minutes for a 24W Slim lamp, 1 minute for a 36W Premium lamp).
- Green Flash™ Colour: apply your Green Flash™ shade in 2 thin coats and cure under the LED lamp after each coat (2 minutes for a 24W Slim lamp, 1 minute for a 36W Premium lamp).

If you want to avoid using a UV or LED lamp, you can turn to regular nail polishes that air-dry. They offer comparable shine and gel effect, but are less resistant and have shorter wear time.
Are UV lamps harmful to health?
A recent study from the French Academy of Medicine raised concerns about exposure to UV lamps used for drying gel polish. This study highlighted cancer risks linked to frequent use of UV lamps exceeding 48W and exposure times of 20 to 40 minutes per day.
