Classic varnish is easy!

It was with this varnish that it all started. The first time, by simple curiosity, we borrow it from his mother to play, a different color with each finger so that it is more fun. Once initiated, it is granted with its outfits by changing color according to seasons, trends and desires. It's so easy and quick : a well -applied brushstroke, we let dry and voila!

Thanks to the solvents it contains, the classic varnish is ultra simple to apply and guarantees a homogeneous result. After the installation, these solvents - which are volatile molecules - evaporate: the dry varnish and forms a beautiful solid and shiny layer. But this thin layer does not resist daily assaults for a long time (from 3 to 7 days depending on the brands), water being its worst enemy. This is its main weakness ...

To remove it, it's just as simple: Just apply a dissolving, containing solvents similar to the varnish, which will reliquor the formula. In the Green Manucist formulas, The solvents used, the butyl acetate and the ethyl acetate, are bio-sourced, in other words, from biomass and not from petrochemicals like most conventional varnishes. Because at Manucurist, our credo is to offer you vegan, clean & green products, good for you and for the planet.

In absolute terms, classic varnishes are Easy but they are fragile and only last a few days. So, how can you have a beautiful manicure that lasts and that is compatible with the gestures of daily life?

Gel varnish and semi-permanent, for a manicure that lasts

Whether at the beach, at home, or at the office, it is possible to keep a nickel manicure, you have the choice between 2 solutions: gel varnish or semi-permanent. What distinguishes them from each other? We tell you everything 😉

Gel varnish, for nails 0 faults but at what price ...

With gel varnish, it's like we were posing False resin nails, directly on the nail or on capsules which are then fixed. The installation is generally done in an institute: the gel is first applied to the nail and then shaped so as to give it the desired shape before catalyzing it under lamp to make it harden. Then, we go to color, with a classic or semi-permanent varnish, everything is possible. For this operation, count between 1h15 and 1h30 of work. A method that has the advantage of Unlimited nails, ideal for compensating for an irregular nail base or gnawed nails. She is also very Prized by nail art fans and other French manicure which can thus give free rein to their creations. The result is up to it: perfect nails that will remain so during the 2 to 3 weeks that follow ... But is it really worth it (not to mention the cost)?

Because, if we gain in length, we also add in thickness, thus giving A “shell” effect to the nail which is anything but natural. Another drawback to take into account: the nail being hidden under the frost, it is no longer exposed to the light and the UV it needs to harden. So much so that on removal, The nail is soft and will need several months to regain its natural rigidity (between 3 and 6 months). On the removal side, the gel nails do not take off. It is therefore necessary to go back to the institute where your manicure will freeze To leave only a thin film that will protect the nail as long as it regenerates. What make you think before embarking on the frost experience ...

The semi-permanent, he has everything to please!

Do you want a manicure that lasts, simple and quick to laying and removing, all without damaging your nails? Opt for the semi-permanent varnish! But beware, not just any!

The traditional formula of semi-permanent varnishes is based on monomers which, under the effect of UV, is transformed into polymers (this famous thick and solid layer which can last up to 3 weeks). The catch is that these monomers are sensitizing molecules that can infiltrate your body. In 2019, Manucist reinvented the semi-permanent formula, getting rid of monomers and other substances dangerous for health. This is how was born Green Flash, 1st semi-permanent clean, without endocrine disruptor or allergen & bio-sourcé up to 84%.

Like classic varnish, Semi permanent varnish Green Flash applies directly to the nail. The installation is easy and quick (about 20 to 40 minutes for a simple decor) and can be done both in an institute and at home thanks to the Manucist Green Flash Flash box and its LED lamp. At the end of 3 installation steps (1 basic coat layer, 2 colored layers, 1 layer of top coat with, after each layer, a catalystation of a few minutes under LED/UV lamp), you easily get lacquered nails as you dreamed, with a Rendered perfectly natural. And Cherry on the Cake, No need to sand the nail for Remove your semi-permanent ! With Green Flash, the layers placed are fairly thin and the formula natural enough for the application for one minute of a Sweet solvent, without acetone, allows you to take off the base, causing with it the layers of colors, without damaging the nail.
