What are the manicure trends for Christmas 2026?
At Christmas, every manicure style is allowed! In a classic version, now is the perfect time to show off your finest red nails or pretty nail art decorated with little Christmas trees or snowflakes—so jingle nails. In a bolder version, spice up your outfit with an ultra-trendy burgundy or brown polish, glittery nail art or a minimalist gold design.
Iconic shades for festive Holly nails
Reimagined classics and bold combinations alike, the shades below remain the undisputed stars of the holiday season, available as Green™ nail polish or Green Flash™ gel polish.
Like Poison, a fir-green polish scattered with luminous sparkles, like a nighttime walk through the heart of an enchanted forest… A chic icon to kick off the festive season! Pair it with a satin tuxedo or a little black dress that will bring out the intensity of the glittering green. Accessorize the look with gold earrings or patent pumps for a luminous touch without overdoing it.
Porcelaine, a voluptuous off-white polish reminiscent of a silk veil and flattering on every skin tone. A timeless off-white shade, perfect as a nail art base or for a minimalist manicure. For a modern fairy tale look, wear it with a floaty dress or skirt in blush or pale gold tones. And for an effortless chic style: an Irish cable-knit sweater, raw or ecru denim, camel ankle boots and a lovely wool beanie.
Finally, for your red nails, opt this year for Dark Dahlia, a trendy red polish with plum undertones, as captivating as the velvety petals of this flower. A delicious shade that pairs effortlessly with a plum velvet dress, slim-heeled pumps and a golden minaudière… A velvet crush look guaranteed!

Poison, Porcelaine, Dark Dahlia: the perfect trio of classic colors for ultra-chic celebrations.
💅 When it comes to nail art, here are some inspirations for showcasing these festive colors:
- Poison French

As a base, choose Pale Rose, then create a French manicure with a fine brush using Poison along the free edge of the nail. Optional: add a touch of Cactus glitter for extra sparkle. (@look8thenails)
- Candy cane
Always start with Pale Rose as a base, then draw a mini candy cane with a liner brush, alternating Porcelaine and Dark Dahlia for this adorable candy cane effect. (@m.o.n.a.j)
- Red Glazed
As a base, apply Dark Dahlia and gently dab on White Glazed Effect powder for frosted effects à la Glazed nails. (@look8thenails)
Warm & chic colors for an elegant look
The holiday season is the perfect opportunity to embrace intense, chic shades that are in tune with current nail trends. This winter, three new shades are joining the Manucurist palette and, let’s be honest, they may well steal the spotlight from the Christmas tree!
Start with Prune, a stunning deep burgundy wine-red polish with velvety accents. Its purple hue envelops the hand in warm sophistication, ideal for winter evenings. The ultimate couture dark red, it suits all skin tones and pairs beautifully with gold or silver jewelry.
In the same vein, we came up with Mocha: a dark brown nail polish with cool undertones whose smooth finish evokes roasted coffee beans… A deep, graphic shade that adds a wonderfully modern touch to your festive look. Wear it as a full Brown nails look, as a base for minimalist nail art, or paired with golden accents. For a “Winter chic” look, pair it with a chunky knit, a taupe satin skirt, a brushed steel watch, and brown boots. Gorgeous!
Fairy completes this trio of enchanting colors. It’s a pearly white, a holographic polish as delicate as moonlight on a festive evening. A shade that captures the light and reflects it gracefully. As a full manicure, it creates a jewel-like effect; as a French manicure or accent nail, it instantly brightens the hand with a stunning effect. We can easily picture it with a burgundy satin outfit, “berry” lipstick, and delicate jewelry.

The warmth of Prune, the depth of Mocha, and the radiance of Fairy for beautiful festive looks.
💅 Here are our nail art ideas using the Holiday 25 colors:
- Stars & dots :
On a base alternating between Tweed and Mocha, scatter your nails with mesh-like dots and stars for a subtle, sparkling manicure. (@look8thenails)
- Mini graphic triangles :

With Fairy as the base, draw small symmetrical triangles at the base and tip of the nail with Mocha. Subtle yet stylish. (@shanivynails)
Celestial radiance right to your fingertips: luminous shades
For those who love subtle, poetic manicures, this year’s inspiration comes from constellations and starry winter nights.
Pale Rose, for example, is a pink polish with a soft, airy pastel finish and a sheer quality, tinted with a hint of beige typical of nude colors. The very essence of understated elegance, to wear alone or as a nail art base. For a natural, modern look, pair it with a monochrome outfit or a delicate, fluid ensemble: a nude satin blouse, flowing beige trousers, and fine gold earrings. Simply stunning.
In the same spirit, Quartz is an iced brown glitter polish that will win over all nail addicts looking for a touch of sparkle for their party looks. Pair it with warm clothing pieces: chocolate velvet, camel knitwear, a bronze belt, a cognac bag… or with an ecru cashmere sweater, ivory trousers & an oversized cream coat. It’s the season’s glow chic polish!
And we couldn’t possibly finish this selection without mentioning Sparks, an intense black polish speckled with silver glitter. As luxurious as it is captivating, it is THE statement piece for your festive look this season. Wear it with a silver sequin top and a champagne satin skirt, oversized hoop earrings, and a black blazer. Sparks puts on a show, and we certainly don’t mind this glitter polish!

A poetic and luminous Christmas with Pale Rose, Sparks & Quartz.
💅 A few nail art ideas for a sparkling Christmas:
- Beautiful glints
Apply Pale Rose as a base, sprinkle the nail with Holo glitter before drawing delicate stars with Prune using a fine brush. Divine! (@look8thenails)
- Party nails

Always with Pale Rose as a base, apply a touch of Holo glitter in a gradient starting from the free edge of the nail. (@alyxlippiatt)
How to create a successful Christmas manicure?
We’re sharing our expert tips to help your manicure last (at least) until New Year’s.
Preparing your nails
Nail preparation is an essential step for ensuring a long-lasting manicure. Start by filing your nails to achieve the desired shape. Then soften your cuticles with a little Emollient and gently push them back using a cuticle pusher. Finally, buff the nail surface with a preparation file and degrease with a gentle remover to ensure good adhesion for the polish you will apply next.

To shine right to your fingertips, the magic starts with good preparation. ✨
Apply base coat, color and top coat in 4 coats
For a shiny, long-lasting manicure, apply 4 coats of polish in this order:
- A thin coat of Green™ base coat or vitamin-enriched Green Flash™ base coat (depending on the type of polish chosen): this coat protects the nail plate and smooths the surface, making color application easier.
- 2 thin coats of color, making sure to let each coat dry thoroughly, air-drying for Green™ polish and under an LED lamp for Green Flash™ polish.
- A thin coat of Sunshine top coat or Green Flash™ top coat to set the color or nail art and provide a long-lasting gel-effect shine.

Base coat, color, top coat: the secret to a manicure that lasts until next year. 🎄

The success of your nail art depends on using the right tools. “Perfect nails deserve the best of companions”, as we like to say at Manucurist. nail art brush for drawing hearts or geometric designs, liner brush for creating a French or a more delicate nail design, dotting tool for polka dots, glitter brush for delicately applying the biodegradable glitter… With these high-quality accessories and Manucurist’s wonderful range of colors, you can let your inspiration run free and adorn your nails with their finest festive attire.
