As they're completely unlike traditional Christmas colours, we dare you to be different and break a few rules. Chic and shiny Quartz
A glazed chestnut with taupe undertones elevated by silver glitter, Quartz is THE perfect colour for the festive season! Delicate and sophisticated, this shade of polish works wonderfully as an all-over colour (especially with dark skin), or as a base for nail art decorated with a minimalist white design (graphic snowflakes or geometric lines).
Mysterious Mystic
Imagine gazing out endlessly at a deep purple night sky with blue undertones (think Van Gogh impressionism). Mystic, as the name suggests, is a shade that will enchant this season. Its opaque finish makes it the perfect base for an original manicure. Add a few Quartz stars or a glitter French tip and the result is magical nail art that's also oh-so-chic.
Nights in Pink Satin

Red, green and white forever
The trio of red, green and white is still a Christmas staple. But it's easy to give these colours a new and exciting twist: use them in a seasonal French manicure! Play around with different effects, e.g. a Red Velvet and gold glitter French manicure (see the tutorial here). If you have short nails, opt for a mini French manicure that combines an elegant Shell base with a thin green (here we've used Jade) or red line. For a flawless manicure that lasts from Christmas to New Years Day, you only need to follow a few simple instructions.
Before you do anything else, prep your nails
Proper nail prep is the secret to a perfect manicure that lasts. Before you start your manicure, follow the 6-step routine below:
1. File your nails into your desired shape
2. Soften your cuticles
3. Push back your cuticles
4. Smooth and buff the nail plate
5. Dust the nail and nail contour
6. Remove any oil
Now your nails are flawless and ready to receive their treatment polish or base coat.
Protect your nails with a Base Coat and Top Coat
Too often overlooked, a base coat is the basis of a successful manicure! Whether you opt for Green™ or Green Flash™, the Base Coat has a dual role: it protects the nail and helps the colour to set. Once the polish or nail art is in place, finish off your manicure with a layer of Top Coat to make sure your polish lasts, adding shine or a matte effect, depending on your preference. For a Green Flash™ manicure, don't forget to cure your Base Coat and Top Coat under the LED lamp for the recommended drying time.
Good tools make for beautiful nail art
