Effective Emollient

A cuticle softener is a treatment that softens and hydrates the skin around the nail to make cuticle work easier. It softens dry tissue and dead skin, helping you achieve a clean, neat nail plate before applying polish. Unlike harsh products, the cuticle softener works gently while respecting the balance of the skin and nail.

Apply the cuticle softener to clean, dry nails, using one drop per nail. After a few seconds, the cuticles become softer and can be easily pushed back with a cuticle pusher. Simply wipe away any excess to prepare the nail for your manicure.

No. The emollient is designed to soften cuticles so they can be pushed back, without needing to cut them. Cutting weakens the skin and can cause small injuries, whereas pushing back preserves the nail's natural barrier.

No. A water-based gel emollient contains no fatty substances. It leaves no oily film on the nail and does not affect the adhesion of nail polish or the application of gel polish.

One drop of Effective Emollient is enough for each nail.

Yes, absolutely. Before applying polish, remove any excess product with a cotton pad, then degrease the nail using the Degreaser or Green Flash™ Remover.

Yes. Once the excess has been removed and the nail surface degreased, you can apply a Green™ nail polish or a Green Flash™ semi-permanent nail polish without any risk of lifting or poor hold.

Using it once a week is enough to keep cuticles supple, the nail contour neat and provide an ideal base for your manicure, without weakening the skin.

A softening water hydrates and softens the skin around the nail. A cuticle softener uses this action to gently loosen cuticles and dead skin, making them easier to push back for more precise nail preparation.

The skincare formulas are green and clean: they are bio-sourced up to 99%, meaning they are made from ingredients derived from biomass such as aloe vera, lemon, ginseng, pomegranate and grape. However, all nail polish, regardless of its nature, should be avoided by pregnant women or breastfeeding mothers. If in doubt, we invite you to consult your doctor.

Our care formulas are compliant with European regulations and do not contain sensitising substances. They are also certified gluten-free and safe for people who are gluten intolerant or have coeliac disease, just like the Green Flash™, Green™, and Active™ ranges. Most customers who have experienced allergies with conventional nail care products do not have any with the Manucurist care range. However, since allergic reactions are not exclusively linked to synthetic ingredients, they can sometimes occur with plant-based ingredients as well.
