Manucurist, nail partner of Paris Fashion Week
Since its first manicures for the Chloé show in 2021, Manucurist has become the nail partner of major fashion brands showing at Paris Fashion Week each year. From Saint Laurent and Valentino to Miu Miu, Ester Manas and Acne Studios, Manucurist polishes featured in no fewer than 18 shows at the September 2026 edition. The range of colours and quality of the polishes have made Manucurist a favourite of leading professional nail artists. With Manucurist, they can capture the world of each collection in a manicure and carry the designers’ artistic vision right to the fingertips.
The looks, show by show
Miu Miu show, nails by Mei Kawajiri
With this collection, Italian designer Miuccia Prada celebrates her idea of womanhood more than ever. Free, elegant and playful, she mixes the codes: sportswear crop tops with tweed skirts, checked blazers with retro swimsuits. The nails break the rules too, under the direction of Mei Kawajiri. To her, Manucurist’s Red Cherry shade embodies this powerful femininity. In contrast to the clean girl trend that has dominated recent years, she opted for a deliberately imperfect, hurried application that spills slightly over the sides.

Saint Laurent show, nails by Alexandra Janowski
Anthony Vaccarello’s latest collection for Saint Laurent was meant to be grand. Mission accomplished with a show awash in gold and black at the foot of the Eiffel Tower: a lesson in elegance and glamour in true Saint Laurent style, with plenty of lace, brocade, bows and perfectly executed draping. To complement all that gold, Alexandra Janowski opted for a dark red manicure using the stunning Dark Pansy.

Acne Studios show, nails by Cam Tran
The Swedish brand chose to revisit the world of 17th-century pirates, bringing its signature dress codes up to date. Buccaneer trousers, worn leather, floral prints and full skirts get a new lease of life with a slightly punk, offbeat twist. For the nails, nail artist Cam Tran chose an aura nails effect reminiscent of a sweep of blush, created with an airbrush in powder-pink tones, with Bois de Rose as the base and Victoria Plum forming a halo at the centre of each nail.

Ester Manas show, nails by Fanny Santa Rita
After a two-year absence, Belgian brand Ester Manas makes its return to Paris Fashion Week to present its Spring/Summer 2027 collection. True to its DNA, the brand offers an ultra-feminine, sensual wardrobe for every body and every stage of life. To complement loose checked or striped shirts, leopard prints, coral-effect embroidered skirts, sheer clothing and lingerie worn as outerwear, nail artist Fanny Santa Rita chose the Manucurist shades Prune, Hortencia, Halo, Pale Rose and Milky Pink for both manicures and pedicures.

Alainpaul show, nails by Fanny Wonyu
At Alainpaul, dance takes centre stage. The designer staged a show with a techno-rave atmosphere and nods to classical ballet. The result is a mix of modern and classic styles, with structured tailored jackets and parachute dresses that accentuate the body’s movements. Black took the lead, with touches of ballet pink, silver lamé and kiwi green. Nail artist Fanny Wonyu chose Green™ polishes in Mocha, Red Velvet and Licorice, along with Active™ Smooth, for the male and female models’ nails.

Florentina Leitner show, nails by Fanny Wonyu
The Antwerp-based Austrian designer pays tribute to her homeland with this Spring/Summer collection, drawing directly on traditional Austrian dress. Think denim lederhosen, crop tops with puff sleeves or peplums, and gingham or pleated minidresses. Bows are the collection’s signature accessory, appearing in 3D on the models’ fingertips over nails painted pink with Hortencia or Candy by Fanny Wonyu.

Chloé show, nails by Agathe Massé
Designer Chemena Kamali created an innocent, flower-girl-inspired Spring/Summer collection that pays tribute to the designers who shaped Chloé, including Karl Lagerfeld and Gaby Alghion. On the runway were long dresses adorned with broderie anglaise or lace, frilly petticoats and ruffled cropped trousers, three-dimensional flowers everywhere, sweeping capes and trench coats, all in white, beige, pink and pastels. For the nails, our resident nail artist Agathe Massé chose a natural glow, using Active™ Smooth 00 as a base and Top Coat Sunshine for shine. A few Drying Drops to speed up drying and a little Green Oil for hydration complete the routine. It was a show so Chloé that fans of the brand, including Maude Apatow, Cynthia Erivo, Lou Doillon and Claire Danes, applauded it.

```
Tom Ford show, nails by Béatrice Eni
The Spring/Summer 2027 collection designed by Haider Ackermann for Tom Ford is all about pure, unapologetic seduction. Structured clothes accentuate or reveal flawless bodies. Black leather features heavily alongside olive green, sky blue, camel, grey and blood red. The nails of the male and female models were entrusted to Béatrice Eni, who dressed them in Green™ polish in Red Velvet, Red Cherry and Hollyhock.
```
Valentino show, nails by Mei Kawajiri
Glamour and an explosion of colour define the Spring/Summer 2027 collection imagined by Alessandro Michele. Leather and satin bustier dresses, feather- or fur-trimmed jackets and skirts, and draping and oversized bows of striking elegance sit alongside streetwear influences such as checked shirts, caps and fluid trousers gathered at the ankles. The nails are neutral, manicured by Mei Kawajiri with Active Smooth 00.

Zimmermann show, nails by Charlène Coquard
The butterfly, emblem of this collection titled “Kaleidoscope”, appears throughout the decorative details and Spring/Summer 2027 silhouettes created by the Australian brand. Silky blouses, long dresses that look ready to take flight and airy draping come in white, pastel yellow, peach pink, sky blue and denim. To complement this wardrobe, both light and spectacular, nail artist Charlène Coquard chose Milky Peach. A perfect match applauded by the front row, which included Naomi Watts, Jessica Alba and Uma Thurman.

Courrèges show, nails by Ama Quashie
Newly appointed as Courrèges’ artistic director, Drew Henry played with the house’s 60s staples. The trapeze and rounded silhouettes are still there, but disrupted by open fastenings, fringing, straps and oversized shapes. The palette is playfully offbeat, mixing classic shades of blue, navy, black and white with soft pastels and zesty orange, lime and ice blue. Nails are dark, with Dark Dahlia dark red polish on the hands and the almost-black red Hollyhock on the toes.

```
Lanvin show, nails by Ama Quashie
Peter Copping, Lanvin’s artistic director, drew inspiration from the great female artists of the 20th century for his summer collection. Fabrics are fluid and silhouettes elongated, with nods to the 1920s and pieces borrowed from menswear. Black and white dominate the show, punctuated by a few brightly coloured ensembles in red, turquoise and yellow. Open-toe pumps reveal a bright red pedicure created with Green™ polish in Anémone by Ama Quashie.
Casablanca show, nails by Melvyn Renaud
A taste of Brazil in Paris! Designer Charaf Tajer transported his audience to Copacabana beach for a joyful mix of sportswear and beachwear in a show titled “Amor e Progresso”. Nail artist Melvyn Renaud chose Manucurist nail prep and Active Smooth 00 and 01 polishes to prepare the models’ nails before customising them with translucent nude or coloured press-ons.
Givenchy show, nails by Ama Quashie
For her first Givenchy collection, Sarah Burton opted for simplicity while paying close attention to detail. Iconic pieces such as the tuxedo, trench coat, jeans-and-vest pairing and peplum jacket are reimagined; long dresses feature fringing and boots zip up the front. Black and white alternate with bold colours: blue, red, orange, green and yellow. For the toes, Ama Quashie chose Hollyhock, a dark red that is almost black.
Isabel Marrant show, nails by Alexandra Janowski
Isabel Marrant heads back to the 60s with a summer wardrobe of lace, sheer skirts, slim cropped trousers, shorts and light blouses. The brand’s favourite colours—sage, nude and pastels—mix with black and white, alongside Indian-inspired prints. Nail artist Alexandra Janowski gave the nails a soft matte pink finish with a mix of Hortencia and Active™ Blur.
Issey Miyake show, nails by Dina Raolison
At Issey Miyake, the Spring/Summer 2027 collection explores how fabrics affect the body’s movements. Bustiers are moulded directly onto the skin, pleats form a chrysalis, folds envelop the body, and sheer fabrics ripple and float away. Purple runs through the collection alongside black and white, as well as sky blue, yellow, red, turquoise and brown. The nails are neutral, finished with Active™ Smooth 00 by Dina Raolison.
Maison Margiela show, nails by Cam Tran
When Maison Margiela deconstructs the everyday, the result is dresses and skirts with vintage oilcloth patterns, wrap skirts like aprons, dresses draped in airbrushed fabrics, and others with torn pleats or cut-outs revealing second-skin undergarments. Aside from the floral prints, the palette is neutral: grey, beige, denim and black. Cam Tran finished the nails with the soft matte pink of Active™ Blur on the hands and the bright red of Anémone on the toes.
Polo Ralph Lauren show, nails by Alex Feller
A surprise show at this Fashion Week, Polo Ralph Lauren’s SS27 collection revealed an authentic, well-travelled look. Craftsmanship took the spotlight through contrasting volumes: ultra-short shorts with structured jackets, and loose trousers with fitted jackets. The classic palette of white, blue, red and beige was brightened by colourful madras accessories. Nails by Alex Feller were either left neutral or painted in shades of pink, matcha green, coral and red.
What were the nail trends at Paris Fashion Week in September 2026?
Three contrasting manicure trends emerged on the runways at this edition of Paris Fashion Week:
- The red manicure: a classic, of course, but still an effective way to express style, glamour and individuality. At Saint Laurent and Courrèges, the shades are dark, almost black, while Tom Ford takes them into extra-long claw territory. At Lanvin and Maison Margiela, bright red appears on toes. But Miu Miu stands out and gets people talking with its deliberately untidy cherry-red messy manicure, painted slightly beyond the nail edges.
- The manicure clean girl: those flawless, neutral nails in nude tones or pale pink or peach are so practical and go with every style and colour. A go-with-everything manicure chosen for the Chloé, Issey Miyake, Isabel Marrant and Valentino shows, and so easy to create with Active™ Smooth or Blur polishes.
- Nail art: few brands dare to use nail art for a runway show, often because of time constraints. Standouts included the airbrushed aura effect at Acne Studios and the 3D bows and drops on pink nails at Florentina Leitner.
Minimalist manicure or statement nails, flawless or imperfect: the debate is still open and points to some exciting nail trends for 2027. In the meantime, this edition of Paris Fashion Week delivered more memorable fashion moments, from Saint Laurent’s spectacular show beneath the Eiffel Tower to Miu Miu’s inventive, creative presentation. See you in six months for the Autumn/Winter collections!
